My Inspiration – What’s The Matter Mary-Jane?

I guess this is a bit like a Featured Friend post but I really wanted to share who was my inspiration to blog.

I love reading and writing and loved it in school. I took Creative Writing in High School and in my 20’s went back to college and did a PR Diploma (I loved “fannying about with Press Releases” re: Bridget Jones!). My work life took a different turn and I ended up looking at numbers all day not letters.

Mary-Jane (MJ) and I used to work together in the late 90’s. We worked on a large team Project together. It wasn’t until Facebook (or Arsebook as MJ likes to call it) that we became “friends”. Her status updates about her family were always hilarious and then she started to blog. I loved reading her posts and then one day, while writing a really long status update on Facebook it was like a light bulb went up above my head. Ohh I thought – I would like to blog.

And so became My Life Badly Written.
